About

ABOUT US

At The Home In Bloom Project, we believe in creating spaces that reflect your personal style and tell your unique story.

Jenn O'Leary is the owner and principal designer. She was raised by two creative parents who owned businesses and had her helping on house flips from a very young age. From her first tiling job at 5 years old with her father on a kitchen floor, to getting her BA from Washington State University in Textiles and Design, her mission has always been to make spaces more functional and aesthetically pleasing. After college she worked for Ralph Lauren and proceeded to form a wholesale company selling to 330+ stores and boutiques. Feeling a bit removed from the design process and wanting to get back to her roots of creating homes, she founded The Home in Bloom Project in 2021.

She is based in Seattle, with her handsome contractor husband, kids, and new puppy.

Our process:

Here at the Home in Bloom Project, we always start with an initial client meeting either in person or via FaceTime in your space. After aligning on the path forward for your space and ensuring we fit well together as a team, we will provide a realistic budget and timeline to complete the project.

We are on site from the very beginning concept stage to the moment you get to move in and start living in your space!  We make the process seamless working closely with contractors if construction in the project is involved.

We believe the construction, remodel, and design process should be enjoyable!

Our dedication to projects, combining the importance of your taste, design aesthetics and functionality, are the key elements to achieving the well balanced spaces our clients love to call their own. Everyone deserves their home to be their sanctuary and we pride ourselves in giving you just that.

The funding of your project:

Here at The Home in Bloom Project, we take different billing approach than most design firms. From the inception of our business, we have decided to work with clients on an hourly basis and never charge the industry standard 20% markup.  We have found that our design process is smoother and in the end we have happier customers with our clear hourly rates. In a lot of cases our fees are covered by the trade discounts we are able to provide you. We believe that in every project we take on, homeowners end up with a more cohesive space because they have been guided and helped along the way while staying on budget.

What we specialize in:

Paint consultations, Kitchen/bathroom refreshes, furniture updates, and spacial design. Respecting the homes integrity while adding timeless elements is always important to us. No matter if you have  a mid century, modern, or a dutch colonial, we are confident we can blend your style while honoring the integrity and style of your home.

Initial meetings are spent focusing on what you love about your home and what isn't working. Understanding how you/your family see yourselves using your spaces and coming up with a clear plan of how to execute those goals ensuring that the process is not only painless but enjoyable! Whether it is a new baby that needs the perfect space to come home to, or a master closet that just isn't functioning properly, we happily provide the solutions. Though projects with large budgets can be a lot of fun to work on we also love the challenge of getting financially creative without compromising on the final result in smaller budget jobs.

Our Clients/Testamonials

As a real estate agent in the Seattle area, I am in constant need of a designer to help my clients. Jenn takes what some would see as challenge projects and manages to exceed the potential I promised. She has helped multiple clients of mine turn their real estate purchases into homes that they love. She's never let me down and in a pinch and is my go to resource.

We were new to Seattle and our realtor raved about Jennifer. We have a 100 year old craftsman that needed more than a little reworking. We fell in love with her right away. Jennifer went above and beyond for our family keeping our lifestyle and kids in mind throughout the whole process. Part of my ask was that I just wanted to walk in and have the job complete without having to make all of the design decisions that seemed daunting for my husband and I. We can't express enough about how smooth the process was and how much we now love our home.

Jenn made me feel at ease from the moment she stepped into my home. She took time to understand the feeling I wanted to achieve and masterfully blended my style with my new brownstone townhouse. I appreciated her attention to every detail, thoughtfulness and creativity. I am delighted to walk into my new space and proud to host friends and family.

A friend of mine suggested the Home in Bloom Project when I was completely overwhelmed with my renovation gone wrong. After the first meeting with Jennifer, I was quickly comforted and a clear path forward was implemented to finish my home. The best thing you could do for your project is to hire her from the beginning.
